  • Victoria R. Watkins, Esq. , Founder & Managing Partner

    Victoria R. Watkins is an attorney in Chicago, specializing in business, legislative, and creative industry law. As Founder and Managing Partner of Inrichmint, she uses her experience in business, private investing, law, and civic engagement to source and manage curated deal flow for high net worth individuals and families.

    She previously served as Chief of Staff to the Co-CEO and Chief Investment Officer at Ariel Investments, the oldest minority-owned asset management firm in the country. In this role, she oversaw the Office of the Co-CEO's operations, civic engagement, and social justice priorities. Prior to joining Ariel, Victoria worked for the City of Chicago in the Office of the Mayor, serving as Senior Advisor, and Deputy Director of Legislative Counsel & Government Affairs.

    She is the author of a children's book, Little Valarie and Her Big World of Options, and launched a curated tea line, Joy & Magic Curated Teas. Victoria serves on the Boards of Youth Guidance, WINGS Program, and AKR Foundation. In addition to her non-profit commitments, Victoria has advised and counseled small businesses on trademark and copyright strategy, business structuring, and organizational operation. She has spent time speaking on fashion law panels, while also authoring the early “fashion law blog” – B.A.F.F.L.E.D. She is also an angel investor.

    Victoria is a graduate of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and earned her Juris Doctorate from DePaul University College of Law.

  • Josh Lowitz, Co-Founder & Partner

    Josh Lowitz is the principal of J. Lowitz Company and a partner at Consumer Intelligence Research Partners and Lab42 Research. He has founded and operated several businesses, and regularly advises entrepreneurs and private equity investors. His areas of expertise include retailing, marketing, consumer research, media relations, real estate, and strategic planning.

    In the late 1980s, Josh and his brother established Lowitz Family Development Company, a commercial real estate developer focused on urban infill space for growing national retailers. Josh served as real estate director for Sportmart, a chain of sporting goods superstores, and as a member of the board of directors of No Contest!, Sportmart’s start-up athletic footwear superstore subsidiary.

    In 1991, Josh founded TV Land, a regional chain of mall specialty stores that became a leading retailer of licensed merchandise from the entertainment industry. In 1995, Josh successfully protected TV Land’s federally registered trademark in a highly publicized lawsuit against Viacom. The TV Land trademark was ultimately sold to Viacom for its Nick-at-Nite’s TV Land cable network.

    Josh’s professional experience also includes a year of corporate strategy consulting at Strategic Planning Associates (SPA), now a part of Oliver Wyman Consulting.

    Josh has taught courses in New Venture Strategy as an Adjunct Associate Professor of Entrepreneurship at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and in the MBA program at the University of Illinois at Chicago. Josh is a member of the board of directors Impact for Equity (formerly BPI), Francis W. Parker School, and served as president of Congregation Solel.

    Josh is a magna cum laude graduate of Brown University in decision theory and has an MBA from Harvard Business School.
